13 Reasons Why April Was a Great Month

Another month, another bunch of amazing events to fill our monthly round up with. Here are 13 Reasons Why April was awesome for us here at Liberty.

1. Welcome Back Meet:Market

B1
Meet:Market is back and better than ever! We partnered with CIM Wales, Rockadove and Yolk Recruitment in order to deliver a series of great talks on the future of digital and advanced AdWords.

James from Google let us know what he believes will be the biggest trends of 2017, and our very own Libertine Luke taught us how to sell beer online (among other things, but this was the most important factor).

All in all it was an amazing event, and we’re looking forward to partnering up once again in the near future.

2. Welcome to Liberty, Greg!

B2

He’s the new kid at high school, fresh and ready for the challenges ahead. Unless, of course, you meet new friends, they abandon you and you’re left feeling alone and worthless…

Sorry, losing sight of what’s real and what’s a TV show there.

Anyway, welcome to the team Greg! He’s South African, but has also lived in America and Switzerland. Thankfully he settled here in Cardiff and has been here for 6 years now. He’s a big rugby fan (good lad), and is stoked to be here.

Welcome to the team Greg!

3. Pizza With Bowen Eldridge

b3

After an amazing first year, leading recruitment agency Bowen Eldridge treated the team to some pizza to say a massive thank you for all our hard work.

As you can tell from the series of smiles (unlike Hannah Baker), we were pretty happy to receive them!

Extra props to Olivia for her Britain’s Next Top Model worthy pose there.

4. Sam Smashed His Figaro Talk

B4

Our very own Libertine Sam gave an awesome talk on Paid Search and SEO at Figaro Digital this month.

Talking content, links and all things authority, Sam gave his expert opinion on how exactly you can cut through the noise in modern day digital marketing.

If you fancy taking a closer look at what he had to say, you can do so here.

5. Nick Gave Us an Intro to Grime

B5

Ever wondered what Nick Richards and Stormzy have in common? Turns out they can both throw down some bars.

Lil’ Nicky gave us his very own rendition of ‘Big For Your Boots’ and showed us that his penchant for PPC isn’t the only thing he has to offer.

6. Team Talk with Not On The High Street

l

The incredible combination of Philip Woodward and Rachel Bloom gave an amazing talk at NOTHS headquarters this month on all things SEO.

They spoke to NOTHS’ most popular partner sellers about the latest tips and digital tricks, and what brands could be doing to improve their SEO.

Safe to say it went pretty swimmingly, unlike when Clay tried to confront Justin on his outright lies: that was horrific.

7. We Had Some Brilliant Brownies

B7

One of the perks of having an amazing chef in the office, is that come birthday cake time we get some world class treats in!

Big thanks to Owain for blessing us with these brownies!

8. The Easter Bunny Paid Us a Visit

b8

Almost like how Tony crept up on Clay to offer his support, the Easter Bunny appeared in the office to give everyone a reason to smile!

From hot cross buns to those coveted mini eggs, it’s safe to say it was a pretty great day.

9. Phil the Fantastic Ran the 5K

B9

Phil was Liberty’s fastest male at the latest 5K! It wasn’t the one pictured above since he’s awful at documenting his life, unlike Hannah Baker who provided a series of well-informed tapes to keep everyone in the loop.

Well done Phil!

10. Kristina KO’d the 5K

B10

Kristina absolutely smashed the 5K this month, being Liberty’s fastest female! Although, once again, failed to document the evidence.

You guys are making my job very difficult here.

11. Big Well Done to Bloom!

B11

Of course none of this would have been possible if it weren’t for Bloom who encouraged us Libertines to take part! (second in from the left BTW).

She also smashed the 5K, and got to hear my entire biography in the process (sorry about that).

If you fancy donating to a great cause, you can do so here!

12. We Had a Hippeas Delivery!

B12

Bloom once again blessed us by donating her month supply of Hippeas to the office.

A healthy alternative to all that chocolate that’s been lying about, we and our waist lines are forever grateful.

13. Paul Hunter, Welcome to Your Tape

B13

If you’ve been reading this wondering why exactly I’ve filled it with random TV references, it’s purely due to the fact that our Marketing Manager, Paul Hunter, refuses to acknowledge the amazingness that is 13 Reasons Why.

This took hours and parts of my life fell apart as I dedicated everything to finding 13 reasons, but heck, it was all worth it.
