2016: A Guide to a Great Year

It’s been one heck of a year for us here at Liberty and so we thought we’d have a little brag breakdown of it instead of our monthly round up.

New Year, New Liberty

Okay, so June isn’t quite the New Year but catchy title though right?

As Liberty continued to grow, we wanted a look that really represented who we are and how we want our clients to feel.

Our website was completely redesigned, and we made sure that our company values were out there for all to see.

So far, we’ve seen amazing results in terms of client growth and feedback from those who were with us long before the snazzy new site.

If you’d like to take a look at everything we updated, you can do so here.

Cementing Our Status at the Cardiff Business Awards

With the lads switching from slacks to suits, they were repping Liberty at this year’s Cardiff Business Awards where we were up for a whole stack of awards.

After a great night, we walked away with the honour of being named as ‘Creative and Digital Business of the Year’.

It’s a fantastic award and it’s great to see some recognition for all the hard work we put in at the agency.

Getting Chummy with Google

This year the cataclysmic company that is Google recognised the daily grind of us here at Liberty and upgraded us to premier partner.

As the only Welsh agency to be named, we were pretty chuffed about it. It also places us in the top 0.1% of best agencies in the country – #what.

Entering into Google’s Elevator programme is a pretty big deal for us. We’ll receive extra support from Google, as well as exclusive access to their programmes and updates, giving us that little bit of a competitive edge.

They also gave us a cool trophy.

Some Super Cool New Staff

In keeping with overall growth, we also welcomed a few new members to the Liberty Family.

our swanky SEO Specialist

our dynamic Digital PR guru

our amazingly talented an unbelievable personality who joined the content team and writes incredibly creative blogs for our website.

Nick, our PPC professional

Resh, our remarkable Account Manager

And finally Corey, our talented Technical SEO Specialist

With so many brilliant additions to the team, we can see some serious growth in 2017!

Liberty Teaches Through Talks

We’ve given more than our fair share of presentations this year, with Phil the Phantastic, Dynamo Dave, Super Sam and Gareth the Great all delivering amazing talks to the likes of Figaro, OI, Masterclassing and the Digital Marketing Show.

Paul the Professor

Our one and only marketing magician has been sharing his wisdom with the students of University of South Wales.

It’s been a great success and it’s really helped with Paul’s confidence issues.

Moustaches for Movember

In support of the Movember cause, the lads at Liberty filled out their facial hair. We had some excellent examples of testosterone and of course we also took part in the annual Movember run.

The 5K was a tough challenge to undertake, but it’s fair to see we all smashed it and raised over £1000 for the charity.

Cranking it Up for Christmas

After a year of hard work and daily grind, it was time to let our hair down at the Christmas party.

Admittedly, some did more than others (sorry about that), but it was a great night with some amazing Italian food courtesy of I Giardini’s.

And that’s that for another amazing year at Liberty Marketing! While 2016 has been a tough time for everyone, I think it’s safe to say we’ve smashed it.
