Woah, That Month Flew By! January’s Round-up

We’re already 31 days into 2019, how did that happen?

A blink and it’s gone, Christmas already seems like a distant memory. But with big things to come we’ve got our sights firmly set forward, there’s no time for looking back!

Our office re-opened following the Christmas break on the 2nd of January and it’s been full steam ahead ever since. We’ve welcomed an additional two colleagues, a Liberty plus-one (we’ll explain later), and submitted four whopping tenders. There are big event plans this year and our training arm continues to be developed; it’s going to be an exciting one!

#1 Welcoming two new(ish)-comers

mari and crispin

Expanding our teams has been a common trend for the last six months or so, and 2019 is no different. A new Creative Content Executive, Crispin has joined our six-strong content team, and our favourite Italian, Mari returns, this time as a Client Relationship Manager. We’re over the moon that Mari decided to re-join the team upon her return from Italy, she’s the happy-go-lucky mummy that we’ve been missing since Reshma left us for maternity leave, and we’re confident that she will smash her responsibilities out of the park! Crispin Boden-Tebutt joins our team with a ream of in-house experience who commutes daily from Swansea – I know, we didn’t believe it either, not with a name like that at least.

Welcome both! We’re so pleased to have you with us.

#2 Structures were built to change, right?

At least at Liberty they do! Internal promotions have identified a new layer of management crucial to sustain the growth of Liberty.

  • Chris Gurner, a Liberty employee for over seven years, formerly Digital Delivery Manager has been promoted to Head of Service Delivery.
  • Amy Lyddon, again an employee for over seven years, formerly Paid Media Strategist has been promoted to Paid Media Manager.
  • Ben Magee, another long-standing Liberty employee, formerly Digital Strategist is now SEO Manager.
  • Guy Corrella, formerly PPC Specialist is promoted to Senior PPC Specialist
  • Adam Stonehouse, formerly SEO Specialist is promoted to Senior SEO Specialist.

A big, Big, BIG congratulations to Chris, Amy, Ben, Guy and Adam. Their promotions are thoroughly deserved.

#3 Strength is in partners

We’re proud of our agency partnerships, not only can we offer a greater breadth of services but we also have access to a wider knowledge-base of specialised creative subjects.

This month has been a month of tenders, and it has been a pleasure working closely with our agency partners to combine our services for a full-service approach. Being able to work in this way means we are able to better tailor our services to different projects, are open to more opportunities and available to assist our partners with their projects too.

If you don’t know Liberty already, the focus of our culture is relationships, and this additional string to our bow wouldn’t be possible without having built trusting, professional relationships with leaders of the creative community in Cardiff. Working in unison isn’t an easy feat, especially between buildings! But the friendships and respect formed between businesses has allowed us to perfect just that.

#4 Liberty +1

So, you’ll remember that our much-loved Reshma, Client Relationship Manager at Liberty, has recently left us to enjoy maternity leave. Well, on December 20th (the day of posting our December round-up) her beautiful baby boy was born with a gorgeous full head of hair.

Reshma has promised to visit us next month, and we’re all here ready and waiting for a cuddle!

We’re proud to be an official Premier Google Partner.
