This is your Liberty September Round-up!

So we don’t want to be one of those companies, but this time next month we hope to have some major news to share with you!

eek

To give you a hint, recent visitors are already in-the-know…

But in present times, Libertines have been up to their old tricks again and we’ve had another jam-packed month in Cardiff. It seems we just can’t stop Gareth from talking, Charlotte DID stop talking and Charity has been an unforeseen theme this month.

#1 More talking.

The month kicked off with a Figaro Digital talk at The Hospital Club in Convent Garden, this time solely presenting Advanced Ads (or if you’re old-school, AdWords) to Financial Services industry experts at the Digital Marketing Spotlight.

This talk still proves to be a hit with a mass amount of marketers still not making the most of the audiences available to them in Google Ads. Do you know which five advanced targeting options we refer to?

#2 And so it begins…

new website kick off meeting

We’re in talks for a redevelopment of our website – eek! A kick-off meeting was held at the beginning of the month to discuss the project goals and objectives and our current gripes with the site. This has been a long time coming and we’re thrilled to bits to be updating our digital image. Finally we can put our knowledge and expertise towards our own website, and actually practice what we preach at home (in the online sense of the word).

Also – how sweet is this office?!

#3 We were part of a fantastic Charitable Programme.

media trust logoOn the 20th of September, six team members hit the road less travelled to the Culture and Media Centre (CCHA) in Cardiff Bay to join Media Trust – a creative and industry partnership charity – on their tour of the UK. This is the first year for the Digital Skills Masterclass to tour outside of London taking insights from marketing experts to charities doorstep, and we’re pleased they asked us to get involved.

Six of our experts took part in the roundtable discussions, spread between Analytics, Digital Strategy, Content and Social Media.

It was an incredibly rewarding day, and feedback from attendees was uplifting. We certainly recommend our digital marketing peers get involved with the remainder of their tour.

#4 Who’s Eve?

Unless you live under a rock, you’ll know Liberty have been actively fundraising for The Eve Appeal during their Gynae Cancer Awareness Month. We smashed our original £300 target + increased it to £500 to set ourselves a second challenge.

We baked, guessed the baby, raffled prizes, sold pins and Charlotte even managed a sponsored silence. And boy was it quiet in the office! Which is testament to the volume Charlotte usually contributes.

At 16:00 on 28th of September, the total raised was £550.74. And would you believe it, but our gem of an MD has said he will match everyone’s generous donations to double the amount raised, and so the grand total raised is £1,100.74.

#5 eCommerce Awards Finalist!

At the end of the month members of our team joined Happy Beds and Elevate for an outstanding evening at the eCommerce Awards in London. Our work combined with the work of Elevate, Happy Beds’ web developers, has brought about a host of impressive stats including a rise of organic traffic to the site increasing revenue over 12 months by 70%. The developments onsite worked so incredibly well that we nominated Happy Beds for an eCommerce Award under the ‘Best Home & Garden eCommerce’ category and were invited to be a part of the celebrations after being shortlisted.

Sadly, the award wasn’t ours to win this year, but the evening itself was incredibly enjoyable and we relish any opportunity to strengthen business relationships. It just so happened that this get-together was under a glittering disco ball surrounded by black-tie apparel.
