Merry Christmas from Liberty
What a whirlwind month, and in fact – year! 2018 comes to an end and Liberty celebrates with a bang.
Christmas is for spending the festivities with friends and family, and we’ve done just that. The team has changed faces, grown and introduced new roles but we’re one big mushy family that work, gel and drink incredibly well together. Ending on a high, we’ve had four promotions and acknowledged seven colleagues for long-service (5years+), how amazing is that?!
As the agency continues to grow and acquire national household names for clients this is only a glimpse of what’s to come, with many exciting diary events we can’t wait for what 2019 will bring and we’re thrilled to be bringing this team of creative individuals with us – pictured above on National Christmas Jumper day.
As the final working week of December draws to a close, we take a look over December and can’t help but smile at what we’ve been up to.
#1 We celebrated HARD.
There are a handful of things Liberty do very well: PPC, SEO, Content, Training… and parties. This year’s Christmas party was unlike any other and it’s safe to say most had very sore heads Saturday morning. We started with a heavenly Christmas dinner, a tantalisingly tasty three-course meal accompanied by a host of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There were crackers, paper hats, pigs in blankets and too many sequins to count.
After dinner we partied late into the AM minus a few faces, and enjoyed table-service, a sing-song and some interesting shapes thrown in a dance-off. It really was one not to be missed.
#2 National Christmas Jumper Day
It was Save The Children’s National Christmas Jumper Day on December 14th so we all donned our best jumpers – minus Adam, boo Adam! – and added our annual Secret Santa and Christmas Awards into the festivities too.

Which was an impeccably good opening to the 2018 awards ceremony that featured awards for “Best Bromance” and “Biggest Potty-mouth”, held by our step-brother inspired presenters donning poorly fitting tuxedos. What. A. Treat.
#3 There was A LOT of food
There’s always plenty of food consumed at Liberty. Between the snack bench, fruit deliveries, and birthday cakes nobody ever goes without, but this month has been a particularly foodie three-weeks with the addition of gifts from clients, mounds of mince-pies, our Christmas party and extra special celebrations it’s likely we will all be rolling out of the office come Friday.
#4 We had a visitor!
Elfie, formely known as Elf on the Shelf joined us for another year to keep an eye on the team picking out the good colleagues from the bad. On Elfie’s orders, those who made the “bad” list were to be named and shamed for their crimes and uninvited to the Christmas Party – he’s a mean one this one!
Thankfully, all of our Liberteam are hardworking individuals who always put their clients first and so nobody was left out of our party… This year.
It’s been a gloriously festive 20 days. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed decorating the office, having Mariah Carey’s vocals visit us at least once a day and having too many excuses to stroll into the office in our comfies. But, come January, it’ll be a treat not to have to battle with the traffic in Cardiff on our commutes home!
