The University of Hertfordshire wanted to use Google AdWords to attract more overseas students and asked Liberty to help. We changed keyword focus, re-wrote adverts and used advanced bidding options to meet their goals.

To create paid search campaigns for the recruitment of students from both the UK and internationally, covering wide ranging countries including Nigeria, Pakistan and Estonia.

Our Approach

Working with their in-house marketing department we created different adverts for each country, with localised keyword sets and advert copy.

We used advanced bidding techniques to maximise ROI and then put remarketing adverts in place on the Google Display Network to bring visitors back and increase overall conversions.

Due to these results, campaigns were expanded to include social media advertising on sites such as LinkedIn and the client asked us to also look after Pay Per Click advertising for other campaigns and schools within the University.
